ecolodge coatepecPaul Hebb served as president of Ayuda for 18 years, an Oregon nonprofit corporation that promoted and supported reforestation projects, soil conservation, and small economic development programs in the state of Oaxaca. Paul is now forming a new nonprofit corporation to carry out similar projects in the state of Veracruz. Paul Hebb is also an expert on sensitively using recycled material, in the concepts of feng shui, on the use of non-polluting septic systems, and on transmitting these values to others.

vistas logoDebbie Mounts, EdD, came to Mexico in 1988 as a Senior Fulbright Lecturer at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. She worked for 10 years in the California Migrant Education Program where the Bi-National Migrant Student Project was begun as a result of her cross-cultural research. Since relocating to Mexico, Debbie has owned and operated a 5-star hotel in San Miguel de Allende and founded Vistas Intercultural Institute, a Spanish language school sponsored by California State University, Hayward Extension. Currently Debbie is active in the local Pro-Coatepec business association where she serves as secretary. This is a very proactive group whose goal is to promote sustainable tourism in Coatepec.
